The just concluded 3^rd Inter American Division Pathfinder Camporee, under the theme “Conquering Giants”, in Mexico City, Mexico, marked the Division's largest territory-wide youth event. More than 20,000 Pathfinders, leaders and chaperons from the 21 Unions participated in community outreach projects, skill events, track & field competitions, and musical dramatic presentations during the five day gala event. While St. Vincent was only represented by nine persons, they took the Vincy flavour to Mexico and observed as well as participated in some activities in which they excelled.

Caribbean Union Wins Second Place in Bible Knowledge The IAD Youth Director Pastor Benjamin Carballo reminded Pathfinders to remain faithful to God. His message echoed the camporee’s theme, which is based on the Old Testament story of David’s Victory against Goliath.

Division President Pastor Israel Leito challenged the young people, saying, “This camporee was the platform to launch a new life with more dedication, more prayer, and more conviction that there is nothing impossible for Jesus to overcome as you conquer the giants in your life.”

Without a doubt this was the best camporee to be held in the division so far, tears were shed at the ending when new friends had to part. However we left with the knowledge and understanding that we shall be reunited in heaven, if not at the next IAD Camporee to be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (April of 2017). With this in mind let us start planning to get to Santo Domingo in 2017. I’ll be there, what about you?
